Surfactants for coagulant bath

Stern surfactant systems will combine an optimal surface tension, easy dispersion, and a high stability of your coagulant bath. By using these chemicals, reject rates and other cost optimization can be achieved.

Specially developed non-ionic surfactant and solvent mixture. Suitable for NR and NBR latex. High cloud point and good emulsifying properties.

Low foaming non-ionic surfactant and solvent mixture. Especially suitable for calcium stearate coagulants.

Non-ionic surfactant mixture with defoaming properties. Especially suitable for thin NBR gloves. Medium cloud point and strong wetting properties.

Biodegradable non-ionic mixture with defoaming properties. Low VOC and strong wetting properties. Especially suitable for NBR gloves.

Low foaming and high cloud point non-ionic surfactant mixture. Especially suitable for coagulants based on calcium carbonate.

Anionic co-surfactant for NBR and NB gloves. Low foaming and good wetting properties.

Anionic co-surfactant for CR gloves. Low foaming and good stabilizing properties.

Release agents

Our release agents will improve the releasing properties for dipped latex products. Good release properties will enhance your production performance and reduce your reject rates. Stern supplies a range of release agents for different polymers and applications.

Mixture of calcium soap and surfactants. Around 40% solids with good stability and low viscosity. Small particle size distribution and good releasing properties.

Mixture of calcium soap and surfactants. Around 50% solids with good stability and medium viscosity. Small particle size distribution and good releasing properties.

Mixture of zinc soap and surfactants. Around 40% solids with good stability and medium viscosity. Small particle size distribution and good releasing properties.

Mixture of potassium soap and surfactants. Around 20% solids with good stability and high viscosity.

Anionic mixture of potassium soap and inhibitors. 40% solids.

Solution of high molecular polyethylene oxides and surfactants. Suitable for all sort of dipped latex products.

Anionic mixture of potassium soap and inhibitors. Approximately 30% solids and easy to disperse in water-based systems.

Rheology modifiers and thickeners

Stern rheology modifiers can be used in a wide variety of applications and can be added to polymer compounds or coagulant baths. Our products show a strong stability in these systems and can be added in different amounts to get the right viscosity.

Sodium polyacrylate thickener, 20% solids used for natural and synthetic latexes.

Sodium polyacrylate thickener, 30% solids used for natural and synthetic latexes.

Cellulose thickener for industrial gloves and to increase the rheology of emulsions and dispersions. Powder form.

Polyvinyl alcohol thickener, powder form.

Gum Arabic thickener especially suitable high USP and FDA requirements.

Surface improvers

Our surface improvers are specially developed to give latex products a smooth surface, gross or will reduce surface defects. These unique products will improve the appearance and value of your latex products.

Sodium Oleate emulsifier and surface improver for CR latex, 50% solids.

Sodium Oleate emulsifier and surface improver for CR latex, 30% solids.

Butyl oleate emulsifier and surface improver for CR latex, 30% solids.

Approximately 38% solid silicone emulsion used for finishing or releasing agent.

Approximately 53% solid silicone emulsion used for finishing or releasing agent.

Approximately 30% solid wax emulsion.

Defoamers and dewebbers

Stern offers a range of effective and efficient defoamers and dewebbers for latex applications. We offer aromatic, silicone or hydrocarbon products for several applications.

Hydrocarbon defoamer and dewebber. 100% active substance used in compounding or in dipping line.

Aromatic oil defoamer and dewebber. 100% active substance used for NR compounding. Free from hydrocarbon oil, silicone oil and silica’s.

Aromatic oil defoamer and dewebber, 98% active substance used for NR and NBR dipping. Free from hydrocarbon oil, silicone oil and silica’s.

Approximately 50% solid hydrocarbon oil emulsion used for NR, NBR and CR gloves during dipping.

Former cleaning solutions

Clean formers will improve your production process, will improve former lifecycle and reduce reject rates. Our alkaline and acid cleaning chemicals are specially developed to optimize the cleaning process of formers.

On-line acid based cleaner. Combination of acids and surfactants.

On-line acid based cleaner. Combination of acids, solvents and surfactants.

Alkaline based cleaner. Combination of hydroxides, solvents and surfactants. Effective in removal of residual stearates.

On-line alkaline based cleaner. Combination of hydroxides, solvents and surfactants.

Polymer Coatings

Stern polymer coatings are developed for easy donning and easy incorporation with different polymers. Our products can be used for NR and NBR gloves and can be used on- or offline during the production process.

Aqueous Acrylic polymer dispersion for on-line coating of natural latex gloves. Improving donning and slip of the gloves. Silicone Free.

Aqueous Acrylic polymer dispersion for on-line coating of NBR latex gloves. Silicone free.
